We are proud to announce that Starfish of Sweden has been awarded a SEK 250,000 Product Development Grant from Region Skåne and the European Union.
The funding will support our ongoing work to advance the Starfish platform through:
- Scientific validation – additional testing and analysis to further strengthen the evidence behind our technology.
- Prototype development – refining materials and production methods together with our design and manufacturing partners.
- Intellectual property protection – ensuring that our unique innovation remains secured as we move toward commercialization.
This support is an important step in our journey to establish a new standard in pressure ulcer prevention and expand the reach of our Swedish MedTech innovation to new sectors and international markets.
Together with our research partners at Lund University and our design collaborators at Zenit Design, we continue to bridge science, engineering, and real-world healthcare needs — creating better comfort, safety, and outcomes for patients and professionals alike.
