Our platform is built around a unique, patented design that limits body contact with surfaces to just 20%, allowing 80% of the body to “float” comfortably. This approach minimizes pressure, reduces friction, and maintains ideal microcirculation, offering unmatched comfort and protection. Our technology is scalable and adaptable, ready to serve both healthcare and other markets.

Our primary focus is on healthcare, where our technology is used in mattresses, wheelchair seat cushions, pillows and plasters.
Secondary market
Starfish technology also serves industries such as automotive, aerospace, and office furniture. Imagine seats in cars, trucks, planes, and office chairs, that not only gives better comfort but also increases working conditions and productivity. Our technology can also be implemented in gaming chairs and horse blankets.
Patented technology
The Starfish platform is patented for use in all the above applications. The patent also includes connectivity which means that all products based on the Starfish platform can be part of remote monitoring solutions or other types of connected real time data.

Starfish has – together with LTH (Lund Institute of Technology) – developed a unique method for measuring the factors behind pressure ulcers. Using that method we have compared the Starfish system with today’s recommended products for pressure ulcer prevention.
